‘Assets?’

You really don’t need to be aware of these assets, they just are, and you can continue right on living your life the way you are used to. “I’m not sure I have these assets”, you worry. Notice, how we sabotage our reality to the unknown. Liabilities, as well as Assets, are two sides of the same coin. You really should discover for yourself, that it is what we focus on that creates our reality. Suppose you knew how to harness their powers all the way to the point where they worked for you, rather than the other way round, instantly you become the master of your reality. In a moment, you realize that these assets exist and they are yours to define and ‘Create Your Reality’.


  1. Beliefs: ‘an acceptance that something exists or is true, especially one without proof’.

“Beliefs have the power to create and the power to destroy. Human beings have the awesome ability to take any experience of their lives and create a meaning that disempowers them or one that can literally save their lives.”

Would you ever believe that this one thing called belief can make or break your life? You must believe that or not! Which side are you on? That in itself just defines what our Beliefs can or cannot do. Realize when you were younger you were told a bunch of things by your Parents, Relatives, Neighbours and the Education system — who you should be or not, what you could do or not do, why this and not that, when, and where and how…

As you journeyed through life and discovered your own path, so you believed that was the one for you, little did you know that the path you took was defined by that ‘little voice’ in you. I don’t know if you can imagine what it would be like if you were told otherwise — Money is good, Love and Peace, Abundance and Gratitude, We not I…what would your life be like now? What path would you choose to care for yourself? If you were given back all these years, would you want the same experiences or would you create better ones, ones that you dreamed of? Would you be the “No I can’t” or more of “Yes I Can”?

Just pretend, close your eyes, and for one moment pretend you were that child again and you were told, this life is yours, you are in the driver’s seat and you were given the learnings, experiences, and encouragement to be, do and have what it takes to make it — What would you be doing now? Where would you be living? Who would you be with? How would you conduct your life?. Allow that to sink in and see your reality change in your mind’s eye and believe it exists right here, right now. That power is within you and you and only you can change that Belief.


2. Attitudes: ‘a settled way of thinking or feeling about something.

I know you are wondering, Attitude! a mental asset? Is it not my actions or behavior? Yes, but how you choose to behave or respond in your everyday life is a function of how your Beliefs have colored your Attitude to life, people, and yourself. You might experience life as black and white, in shades of grey or like the colors of a rainbow, and that in essence is the way you see life. Eventually, you will come to realize that no matter what the color or no color, your experience and response to life is in your mind.

Notice the changes you experience by just making a shift in your perception of life, everything around you, your circumstances, have a way of gravitating towards what you desire. Consciously in your awareness whilst unconsciously in your perception the colors now are clearer and the brain fog starts to disappear. That clarity now paves the way to new responses from you and in return, you have new experiences, new learnings, and your progress, rather than being standstill or even worse rolling backward.

Perhaps you are still wondering, but what has all this got to do with my actions, my behaviors, and my so-called attitude. Ever heard — “ You got yourself a load of trouble now, You got yourself a bad deal, You say I’ve got a bad attitude, How d’you think I feel?” ., (Bad Attitude by Deep Purple). That is exactly what you get, trouble, bad deals. Turn that around and you experience more of life, you learn more from life, you give more to life and life responds right back to you with more Attitude.


3. Thoughts: ‘an idea or opinion produced by thinking, or occurring suddenly in the mind / the action or process of thinking.

‘You really should use your head, can’t you think, ever been told that? A bunch of times and then again. Well, that phrase has gone around for too long has it not? More often than not we are victims too and of our thoughts, both internally and externally. “Every thought is a cause and every condition an effect” ., (Charles F. Haanel). Simply put, what goes on in between our ears does manage to spill out to create exactly what we thought it should not and it does. That is the power of thinking.

Our conscious brain can only process 7 (+/- 2) bits of information at any point in time. In this age of information overload how in the world are we supposed to focus and not let our mind run wild with wild thoughts. You can begin to experience overwhelm, anxiety, nervousness. What does this lead to? Disorders that pretty much label you. And right in there we condition ourselves to constantly race with our thoughts, unconsciously of course. This is not a race worth winning, I can assure you. Instantly you start conjuring up images of failure, defeat, and of course leading to the ‘Not Good Enough’ syndrome that is so prevalent in our times.

Suppose you were given a day off to ‘Not Think’, would you take it? Have you ever experienced what it is like to stare at a blank white wall, and not think? You could be a lot more in touch with your conscious reality, by thinking conscious thoughts. Maybe now is the time to re-think how we want to think leading us to what we should think. Random, disorganized, or consciously directed, meaningful Thoughts.


4. Feelings: ‘an emotional state or reaction / a strong feeling deriving from one’s circumstances, mood, or relationships with others.

If you feel, then you feel more. There is no stopping it, is there? Why do we feel the emotions we feel? Where do they well up from? Why do our emotions take over? These are just a few of the experiences we go through as far as our feelings or emotions are concerned. Remember the last time you felt happy, sad, peaceful, joy, fear…that’s probably the one that overrules and overrides all of humanity. We are born with only two fears and the rest is our making. Food for thought? The Fear of Falling and the Fear of Loud Noises.

The emotion which means ‘Living’ is probably the most versatile part of ourselves. They rise and drop like the constant waves in the ocean, ever waiting to be channeled and directed. But, can we? Guess when Emotional Intelligence or Emotional Quotient is referred to, it is exactly that. Slowly and steadily we identify with our emotions and then we get good at directing them, the question is which way? Fully to the point where they take over, all over again! This vicious cycle never seems to end, does it? Begin with the notion that they are always going to in some form or another direct our lives. The question only remains, how we intelligently channel and make them work for us, rather than the other way round.

In a moment of strength or weakness, our feelings create the meanings that we associate with most and are most comfortable with. Therein lies the secret to our emotions — Meaning. Begin with associating an empowering meaning to our experience and you will cause a different command to be fired by your neurology, leading you to a different state of empowering emotion(s). You will notice a subtle change in the steep rise and fall ebb down to minutiae that you can then channelize to have desirable Feelings.


5. Decisions: ‘a conclusion or resolution reached after consideration.

“It is in your moments of decision that your destiny is shaped.”

I want you to decide…. Is this thought through, or an impulsive momentary lapse of reasoning. All of humanity does this day in and day out. Some lead us to great experiences, some not so great. When you decide, you define your life on terms and conditions that derive the greatest experience for you., we always want that don’t we? What would it be like if you had a way, a process to make decisions that gave you the exact results that you were after?

Find yourself making excuses to the point where your life gets led by others or other forces. It is in those moments that we experience worthlessness. And you can experience fear as if your whole life was consumed by it. Now or never thoughts take over and reaction mode sets in. The cause-effect relationship peaks and suddenly you spiral out of control. That in itself leads us down unknown realities and unconscious misdoings.

Gradually we come to realize and make those internal shifts that are needed for effective decision making. Imagine perspectives that never crossed over from the other side of our beings to aid in deciding our wants, needs, and desires. How many of them have we missed in this journey of ours? Every time that you feel elated, always remember the resolution you reached to begin driving your Decisions.


6. Choices: ‘an act of choosing between two or more possibilities’.

Need I say more. We live in a fathomless sea of choices. Every time you decide, you are dealt with a plethora of choices. It is no more this or that. It is this, that, those, and what else. That is the nature of the beast. The more choices, the more insignificant our lives become. There is a new world emerging out there called ‘minimalism’. Taking away the distractions that lead us to obscurity, you can begin to focus on the worthy and worthwhile critical few that you choose to invest your time and energy on, of which we seem to be running short of incessantly.

You could make that choice, couldn’t you? We are always looking for resolution, it’s in our nature too. The sense of the unfinished drives us to believe we are insufficient, inadequate, imperfect. That is a never-ending cycle of life we create in the midst of all that we must be, do and have just to satiate our senses. I wonder if you realize that mischaracterization yet? Soon we start to represent that self of ours in the wake of our reality.

What’s it like when we have no choices? It’s as if we were robbed of the very life that we were meant to live in abundance, that nature has provided. You should remember our lives are worth more than the phenomenon called the Shiny Object Syndrome. Will you choose now or choose later, is all up to you to make those extraordinary Choices.


From the beginning to the end in a blinding flash nature takes us from our birth to our death on a joyride that we ever so forget to make sense of, because of Beliefs, so Choices, and all things in between.

In Retrospect ., we are masters of our Destiny’ and the sooner we discover…

Our BELIEFS colour our ATTITUDES that create our THOUGHTS which give rise to our FEELINGS that drive our DECISIONS to make the CHOICES that Create Our Reality”

…we will re-discover our lives.
