1 Have a vision
You always thought that you need to really work about improving yourself. That’s cool. However, have you decided what you have to improve upon? Are you anxious about your looks or is it your communication skills? Whatever it is, it is all about you. The next thing that you have to understand is why you want to work on yourself? Success is a sweet fruit and everyone aspires towards it. Therefore to set yourself apart from others you have to become better with each passing day.

2 Be adaptable
The only thing constant is change as said by many sages. A rigid outlook and refusal to change with times can prove catastrophic. When things are not going your way, rework, and follow a corrective path. Let us consider that you are moving to a new place. Fear grips your mind, with the thought of the unknown. The anxiety to survive in a different environment stifles your happiness. For such situations, find groups and activities that interest you and give you an opportunity to meet people. Change is part of our growing process and if you look back on where you have come from, there are many changes that brought you to where you are now. There is no reason to believe that you will not feel the same way in the future.

3 Let go of anger
This vice (anger) in you is detrimental to your growth. Anger, though a natural emotion should be kept in check. Keep yourself away from the surge of anger, rather calm yourself with meditation. Anger leads us to a situation where we make unwise decisions and take impulsive actions. Taming your temper can be challenging. Use simple anger management techniques. For that, you can pray and get yourself connected spiritually. The presence of divinity will slowly soothe your soul and you can see that you have left this toxic emotion behind. The benefits of meditation are known to all. This can be an effective weapon to control your rage.

4 Keep a gratitude book
Note down the things you are grateful for. Start with the simple things of life, it could be about the bright morning sun or for the loving family which keeps you nest warm. Moreover, write everything you want to achieve, goals (be it short term or long term) in a notebook. Don’t just think or do mind-planning, WRITE. When you're happy with yourself, that emotion can be contagious to those around you.

5 Work on yourself
This doesn’t mean that you need to flaunt your six-pack abs or an alabaster skin. Do some homework for this. Identify your strengths (honest, kind, generous...etc.) and your liabilities (angry, overweight...etc.). This may help you identify the areas in which you want to make the most improvement. Work on your communication skills. These self-improvement techniques will make you confident and you will be ready to face the world. Remember, the appearance will attract people towards you but people will stay only if you are good in your heart.

6 Mental health matters
You can be highly successful or living the Utopian life but all your accomplishments are negated if you’re not at peace with yourself. A healthy mind cultivates a healthy body and a fulfilling life. Stay away from your phone and other gadgets; let your mind rest to perform at its best.

7 Read Read Read
Read a lot, anything, everything, figure out your kind of books, befriend them, they have answers you have been searching for and questions that will tickle your brain, some good principles to catch on, maybe you find your kind of people, you can learn so much and about so many things, your imagination will take you to places not seen and heard of, and a lot more. Once you make friends with books, they will not let you be on a lack of entertainment.

8 Offer help
Most of the time, people think twice before offering any help. They feel that they should not help someone or more precisely, why should they? If we can change this mindset, many problems can be resolved. As we say, the more we give back to the universe, the more you open within yourself the space to receive. it. Let us lend a helping hand to others in need. Be it in your own way. Once done, you will feel better, selfishness may dampen your enthusiasm for life.

9 Learn from other successful people
They are already ahead of the game. What are the things they have worked on? Successful people have mastered the habit of taking action. Dreaming and thinking, without execution, will not take you anywhere. Imbibe their habits, for eg: waking up early in the morning can drastically affect your levels of success. Moreover, failures are the pillars of success. Successful people have kept their motivation intact. Embrace failure and try again every time.

10 Procrastination is the mother of all evils
In order to understand why you procrastinate, first, you should have a strong desire to eliminate procrastination in your life. Track down your everyday activity. I was not getting enough time for myself. This led to procrastination. One fine day, I noted down my everyday tasks and daily routine. The list was pretty overwhelming. Reading them, made me realize I have too many things to do at hand. Finally, I prioritized my tasks and was able to work on myself. I was able to get rid of procrastination in that way.
With these habits, you will emerge with a better version of yourself. Start working today.

Good post to organize ones life, in my experience I found that one single element that could disturb the entire process is anger, it is like a spill of ink over a good writing or chess board which got disturbed at the climax of you winning the game.
At the outset, I’d like to thank you Nilanjana for sharing this blog post. I got to learn some things which are to be implemented by me. MPTY !
